This product does not contain colored pictures (I was hoping it would as a tool for still references of looks and styles). Is in black and white. Great for learning about shot setups and camera angles but I anticipated inside photography to be like the cover art and it is not at all. May have been posted somewhere and a mistake on my end for not noticing.
Great book! I really like how the scenes are illustrated to help communicate the idea and purpose of each shot. The only thing I dislike is the shape. Odd, I know. But it doesn't compliment a book shelf to have this thing sticking out past the shelves. That aside, the contents within more than make up for an elongated shape. The author explains the emotion and direction of the shot without shoving it down your throat. Quick, easy, and organized if you want to go back and find "that one shot".
I like that there are references for every shot. I look at it every time I have a project to come up with fresh ideas to shoot it.
All these Master Shot books are a little different from each other. This one is great in its own way. I definitely suggest getting all three for live action OR animation people.
Resource is great. Wonder why no one ever did this before.The author is clearly well-experienced and all round.This means its not the typical 'theoretical nonsense' DIY that's out there!!'Filmmaking is nuts and bolts and a bit of art if you're into this as well. He manages to reach into all the pockets - as an educator.Well done Mr. Kenworthy.

The actual content is very useful, but it is lessened by the cheap black and white printing of the photos. The "3D" recreations don't really add anything although the camera diagrams can be helpful. Drawbacks aside, I'd say this book belongs in any indie filmmaker's library.PS. Forget the Kindle edition, the photos are useless.
Simple and solid in its explanations and presentation, but really wishing the images were in color. Based on the covers in this series, was hoping for a clean and vivid detail. The images are lacking in this regard, but for purely informational purposes, a solid presentation.If it was in color, I probably would've given this a 5/5.
